The unknowns: the Biden administration is speaking of it, wont have discussions with foreign officials till 20 Jan. However to revive the deal would be a very bad idea: it does not block Iran’s path to nuclear weapons. No country has more to gain from a [favorable] deal than does Israel; all the Iran deal did was put certain restrictions for several years, after which Iran wouldn’t have to petition to join the nuclear club but would [waltz] in. The Brits, French and Germans don’t see it that way—but they don't live in the Middle East. The next ambassador: continue to reach out on both sides of the aisle to explain Israel’s positions.
