Bezeklik (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bezeklik) , Cave 9 Will the Biden Administration continue pressure on the PRC for its abuse of the Uyghur people?     @nuryturkel, @GordonGChang   Nury Turkel, @nuryturkel, co-founder of the Uyghur Human Rights Project and a commissioner of the United States Commission on International Religious Freedom, and Gordon Chang, @GordonGChang, Daily Beast, in re: Uyghurs in concentration camps, having forced abortions, being abused. Breaking news from London:  The UK govt has condemned Chinese treatment of Uyghurs as barbarous; internment camps, political re-education, forced abortions,   Campbell soups, cotton products, many items from China, are from slave labor in Xinjiang , Jake Sullivan calls on Europeans to “think twice” before entering into agreements with China.   Sometimes calling matters out is as important as policy responses.  Stark contrast to EU: the just-signed investment agreement [thanks to Angela Merkel]. Euros seem not to grasp the threat, to understand products made by Uyghur slaves.   They know exactly how it is when a regime targets an ethnic religious minority; Germany not being clear on this is mind-boggling.   Uyghur women being “emancipated” by the Chinese abuse.  It’s preposterous, even letting China speak in such an ugly way about Uyghur women’s reproduction.   Hugely offensive.  China sees them as “baby-making machines.”   Beijing thinks it can get away with this; the intl community does nothing.  UK and Australia have taken positions on this. Tony Blinken should spend a little time on this.   https://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-china-55608089 https://news.sky.com/story/uighur-muslims-new-measures-by-uk-to-tackle-china-human-rights-violations-12185976
