The famous command of Cato the Elder (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cato_the_Elder) , "Delenda est Carthago (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/History_of_Carthage#Second_Punic_War) " (quoted in Plutarch (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pultarch) 's Life of Cato) is carved in the wood of the huge catapult.
