Pompeo is protesting; what else can we do?   We could inflict economic pressure. Carrie Lam has to be paid in cash because of US sanctions preventing her from using her bank. Did Jimmy Lai expect to be grabbed by the thugs? Yes, he was head of Giordano, a prosperous clothing firm, but had to leave under pressure.  They can jail him but not break him.  Thugs threw firebombs at his door, a warning from Beijing, which sends “photographers” to track his guests. He could’ve taken his money and been anywhere safe, but he’s brave.  The HK patriots change tactics once a week, extremely wise.  Jimmy Lai publishes Apple Daily in Taiwan, where he’s also a hero, and his current situation will strengthen Taiwanese resolve.  Young people in HK know they ought to leave but choose not to. Many who study overseas flew in for one day just to vote. These are brave  people. I love ’em.    https://www.foxnews.com/world/hong-kong-jimmy-lai-denied-bail-pompeo-tweets-support
