Not only does Beijing refuse to let in qualified investigators—it’s spinning that the virus began in the US.   We need samples; to learn how it came about, propagated, what’s generating all the mutations.    China is at much at risk as the rest of us are. China is blaming everyone else; I think the Chinese authorities don't know how this is transmitted. In autumn 2019, staff at the Wuhan Institute of Virology fell ill with the flu.   A friend of mine who's a big investor in China moved back to the US PDQ in late 2019. A stop on all gain-of-function research specifically with a covid-like disease. Bill Gertz:  Chapel Hill transferred all relevant research from the US to China, where the restrictions are much [flimsier].  People were getting sick long before China acknowledged the disease.  This could be the biological Pearl Harbor we were all most worried about.   If the US government declassifies what it knows about the Wuhan Institute of Virology, we’ll learn what we need to know. https://www.foxnews.com/politics/pompeo-wuhan-lab-illnesses-beijing
