Furness H1 - Mariners come from behind to beat Houston in huge win / Rolovich speaks / Something Good: First gold medal

Wow! If you missed last night's Mariners game, you missed one of the most exciting games this baseball team has played in a very long time; trailing by six runs after the first, slowly chipping away at the Astros lead before Dylan Moore smashed a grand slam in the 8th, giving the team an 11-8 lead. Can they keep this kind of thing going for the next two months? Maybe not, but what matters right now is that they're playing relevant baseball, and they're a lot of fun to watch. Nick Rolovich, the only coach not speaking in person at Media Day (because he's the only unvaccinated coach in the Pac-12), did address the media remotely this morning. He discussed the vaccine controversy, but it didn't really improve anyone's opinion of his decision. Turning to Something Good, a pair of gold medal firsts that remind us what's great about the Olympics.
