Published: March 1, 2016, 1:09 p.m.

Clay Hayes is an outdoors renaissance man of sorts. His skills are honed in the backcountry, allowing him to survive — even thrive — in harsh conditions. Clay partnered with Backcountry Hunters & Anglers to produce an instructional film series called The Backcountry College. In additional to woodsmanship skills, Clay is a very knowledgable resource in the area of traditional archery. Clay builds his own equipment by hand and has the skills to harvest big game with his simple, hand-crafted stick and string. Whether you want to learn some tips and tricks to help you survive in the backcountry or you want to learn a bit more about traditional archery, you'll enjoy this episode.
