Samir Ibrahim is the CEO and a Co-Founder of SunCulture, headquartered in Kenya. SunCulture sells affordable solar-powered irrigation solutions to make smallholder farmers profitable in East Africa. Prior to SunCulture, Samir studied finance and international business at NYU’s Undergraduate Stern School of Business and joined PwC’s Financial Services, Structured Products, and Real Estate Group. He has spoken about the private sector’s role in development and on financing climate compatible development to a number of audiences such as the Vienna Energy Forum, International Parliamentary Conference, COP21, and the World Energy Congress. Samir is also recognized as a former World Energy Council Future Energy Leader and a Forbes 30 Under 30.
