On today’s episode, Blake Scott, president of Scott Environmental Services, visits The Global Energy Leaders Podcast to discuss how they have found a use for nearly half of the 100 tons of drilling waste that is generated every year.

Blake Scott is one of the world’s leaders in solid drilling waste management. As president of Scott Environmental Services, Inc., he created next-generation drilling waste management solutions to reduce both cost and liability for oil and gas companies. 
He is a frequently sought-after speaker on solid drilling waste risk mitigation and has educated audiences at The Society of Petroleum Engineers, Texas A&M University and Utah State University, among others. He served as a team member on the Interstate Technology & Regulatory Council’s team for solidification/stabilization, which published the technical/regulatory guidance document, Development of Performance Specifications for Solidification/Stabilization.

Additionally, Blake has received several U.S. patents, a Canadian patent and a Mexican patent, in solid drilling waste management.  Blake received his bachelor’s and master’s at Texas Christian University.
