On January 4th, two days before the violence at the Capitol that is now at the center of President Trump's second impeachment trial, protesters gathered outside the Virginia home of Senator Josh Hawley. Demonstrators targeted the Missouri Republican after he said he would object to affirming Joe Biden's election victory. Teachers unions across the nation have been in a standoff with government leaders over whether it is safe for them to return to schools for in-person learning. This week the Chicago Teachers Union finally came to an agreement with the nation's third-largest district to return to classrooms although it was not a unanimous decision.
