Published: May 23, 2020, 9 a.m.

Michigan has been in the spotlight lately. Besides being considered a key battleground state in this year's upcoming presidential election, it has also been at the center of the debate over reopening the economy and lockdown restrictions. Rep. Elissa Slotkin represents Michigan's 8th district and she joined host Jessica Rosenthal on the Rundown this week to discuss the news coming out of her state and her own reelection campaign. The Democratic Congresswoman defended some of the restrictions her state put on businesses, but said she sympathized with her constituents who believes some limitation went too far. The former CIA analyst also weighed in on the controversy surrounding the Michael Flynn investigation, suggesting anyone who illegally leaked material related to the case surrounding the former national security adviser should be held accountable. Rep. Slotkin was candid and discussed a lot of issues. Because of time, we could not include the entire conversation in our original segment. On the Fox News Rundown Extra, you will hear our full interview with Rep. Slotkin. Some of the exclusive content includes the moderate Democrat looking back at her vote to impeach President Trump earlier this year and her belief it could cost her job come November.
