Vice President Kamala Harris cast the tie-breaking vote on Thursday kicking off the debate on President Joe Biden's $1.9-trillion American Rescue Plan. But, the debate was stalled with Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) requesting Senate clerks read the 628-page coronavirus relief bill. Republicans have been critical of the proposed legislation calling it an expensive liberal wish list and blue state bailout, but the White House insists the package is needed to help Americans impacted by the pandemic. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) explains why he opposes the COVID relief bill and Rep. Elissa Slotkin (D-MI) tells us why calling the bill a "blue state bailout" isn't accurate. Nearly a year after Coronavirus-related restrictions began, an increasing amount of governors have been easing some of those rules as the cases in some sates decrease and the number of individuals receiving the vaccine increases.
