The Mexican Government Shelves One of Their Elite Drug Interdiction Units (4/19/22)
The Government of Mexico has closed the doors on one of their most elite units in the war on drugs. The SIU was the group tasked with chasing down people like El Chapo and for the past couple of decades have taken the lead when it comes to cooperation with the DEA. Now, that is a thing of the past as AMLO continues to re-shape the nations strategy for dealing with the cartels and the violence.
