The Delphi Murders: Richard Allen Requests Cameras In The Courtroom For His Trial (9/15/23)

Published: Sept. 15, 2023, 3:58 p.m.

The Delphi Murders refer to the unsolved killings of 13-year-old Abigail "Abby" Williams and 14-year-old Liberty "Libby" German, who disappeared on February 13, 2017, while hiking on a trail near their hometown of Delphi, Indiana.

Their bodies were found the following day about half a mile from the trail in a wooded area. The case gained widespread attention after police released a photo and audio recording of a suspect, who they believe is responsible for the girls' deaths.

The photo and audio were captured by Libby on her phone and show a man walking on the trail behind the girls. The man is described as white, with a stocky build and a possible goatee or beard. He was wearing a blue jacket, jeans, and a brown hat at the time.

Then, shockingly, in October of 2022 an arrest was made. The man arrested? Richard Allen and as his trial is getting closer to getting underway, he has several new requests for the court.
