The Delphi Murders: More Information About The Leak That Derailed The Trial Of Richard Allen (10/27/23)

Published: Oct. 27, 2023, 5 p.m.

The Delphi murders, also known as the Delphi double homicide, refer to a tragic and unsolved criminal case in Delphi, Indiana, which began on February 13, 2017. Two teenage girls, Liberty German, aged 14, and Abigail Williams, aged 13, went for a hike along the Delphi Historic Trails and were reported missing when they didn't return as scheduled. Their bodies were discovered the next day in a wooded area near the Monon High Bridge, a popular local landmark.

Liberty German had recorded a video and audio clip of a man believed to be the suspect, as well as a photograph of the man on the bridge. These pieces of evidence were crucial in the investigation but have not led to an arrest. Law enforcement released the audio recording, which includes a man saying, "Down the hill," and an image of the suspect.

The trail ran cold for over five years, that was until suspect Richard Allen was arrested for the murders. Now, after months of back and forth and legal proceedings, Richard Allen is going to have his trial postponed due to the leak from his former legal team.

In this episode, we hear from the peope who reported the leak and get a break down on where things may go from here.
