The Bizarre Situation Developing Around The Delphi Murder Suspect Richard Allen's Trial (10/31/23)
In one of the most bizarre trials and investigations we've ever covered here on the podcast, the twists and turns in Delphi just keep coming and the ride seems to just be beginning.
Due to leaks in the case that had to do with evidence, Judge Gull removed the two layers overseeing the defense. The reason was that one of those lawyers, Andrew Baldwin, had a former associate snatch some of the evidence from his office and then share that evidence with people online.
One of the people that the evidence was shared with ended up sending it to other people and when investigators tracked him down, he refused to answer questions. Not long after that, this individual was dead from a self inflicted gunshot wound.
The court is now demanding answers.
In the meantime, Rozzi and Baldwin, the two attorneys that we thought were removed, have now said that they will represent Allen PRO BONO, pulling an end around Judge Gull.
A hearing is scheduled for today to try and figure it all out.
