Serious Fractures Have Formed In The Relationship Between Al Qaeda And The Taliban (8/4/22)
It took about one year for the Taliban and Al Qaeda to find themselves at odds. This once very strong friendship is now being tested in the wake of the death of Ayman Al Zawahiri as the finger pointing and blame game heats up. With the Taliban having such a fragile grip on power even in the best of times, this could only lead to that fragile hold weakening even further.
