The CEO and creator of OceanGate, Stockton Rush is coming under heavy criticism in the wake of the disaster that saw his DIY submersible implode during it's descent to the wreckage of the Titanic.



Rush, who was also aboard the doomed vessel, was allegedly hawking discounted trips on the trip that ended in disaster and also tried to woo one potential client by flying to meet him in Las Vegas using an experimental plane. The potential client, who was supposed to be in the seats that ended up occupied by Mr. Dawood and his son, says that after his son did some research and after he looked into things, he decided to pass because of safety concerns.


This comes as Coast Guard and other international parties have announced an investigation into what happened that might also carry criminal penalities for some of those involved with the company and the trip.
