Nathan Carmen Is Found Dead In His Jail Cell (6/18/23)
Nathan Carman was aboard a boat with his mother when it capsized off the coast of Rhode Island, resulting in his mother's disappearance. Nathan was found adrift on a life raft several days later and was rescued.
The circumstances surrounding the incident raised suspicions, leading to an investigation by authorities.Apart from the disappearance of his mother, there were also questions surrounding the unsolved murder of Nathan's grandfather, John Chakalos, in 2013. Some investigators looked into potential connections between the two cases.
Nathan was then charged with a host of crimes, including the murder of his mother whose body was never recovered from their alleged fishing trip. Authorities say that he took the trip with his mother and killed her before disposing of her body into the sea and scuttling the boat they were on.
