Jes Staley was one of the main drivers of Epstein parking his wealth at JP Morgan. Even after it was known that Jeffrey Epstein was a sex offender. None of that mattered to Barclays however, as they hired Staley in 2015 to run the bank. They never could have dreamed that decision would come back to smack them the way it has. After Epstein's second arrest and the torrid coverage in the aftermath of his death, Staley and his role were brought into focus.
