Allegations Of Corruption Swirl Around Those Closest To The President Of Colombia (3/13/23)
Gustavo Petro was elected as president of Colombia because it was thought that he would fight the corruption that plagues the nation. It was said that he would be a reformer and that he would stand with the people.
However, the actual facts on the ground seem to point to something else as Gustavo Petro's son and brother are now being accused of corruption and taking bribes from criminal groups in order to enrich themselves. President Petro has not been implicated.
