The cartels in Mexico carry so much weight and move with so much power, that they are even able to insert their own point men within the Colombian cocaine producers to ensure the quality of the product that they are purchasing and to also project the power of the cartel. This has brought a speedier process with more robust harvests and, in turn, more profits flowing back to the cartels in Mexico.
