In the latest episode of Explore we hear Mark Beaumont\\u2019s audio diary from GBDuro, the on- and off-road race the length of Britain, from Land\'s End to John o\\u2019 Groats.

\\nAmazingly this was Mark\\u2019s first ever organised race \\u2014 though GBDuro is not a race in the traditional sense.

\\nOr perhaps it is? As well as being a test of endurance, it is an event that seeks to put cycle racing back in touch with its roots. With four ultra long stages, and with the riders unsupported and self sufficient, it arguably has more in common with the early Tours de France than the modern incarnation.

\\nAs well as Mark \\u2014 who told us all about his round the world record in our first ever episode of Explore \\u2014 we hear from some of the other competitors.
