The Giro made its way towards Aprica for what many have dubbed this year\\u2019s Queen Stage. Having set out from the western shore of Lake Garda, the peloton would scale the Mortirolo and the Valico di Santa Cristina \\u2013 to name just two of the climbs on today\\u2019s route \\u2013 before finishing in Aprica, the scene of many a famous Giro exploit.\\xa0

We hear from Valerio Piva, who helped steer Jan Hirt to a surprise stage win, and Pavel Sivakov, who helped steer Richard Carapaz through a stage that solidified his position in the maglia rosa.
