In this episode of Kilometre 0 by The Cycling Podcast we speak to Javier Guillén, the director of the Vuelta a España.  Guillén was appointed in 2009 and one of his first decisions was to introduce the red jersey of race leader. On the red jersey’s tenth anniversary he tells us what he thinks of it — and so does Bradley Wiggins, who wore it in 2011.  Guillén also discusses the Vuelta’s distinctive identity, the quest for new mountains and the possibility of a week-long women’s race.  Kilometre 0 by The Cycling Podcast is supported by Hansgrohe
