Conflicting recommendations around AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine and over-65s

Health Canada approved the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine Friday, but the National Advisory Committee on Immunization has warned against giving it to people who are 65 or older. And while the Moderna and Pfizer-BioNTech vaccines require two doses, recommended three to four weeks apart, B.C. is pursuing a plan to delay the second dose by four months, in order to vaccinate more people with the initial round.
