Combating anti-Asian hate crimes
On Tuesday night, eight people were killed in an Atlanta-area shooting — six of them people of Asian descent. Amy Go and Melissa Borja have been watching anti-Asian hate crimes rise on both sides of the border during the pandemic, and say enough is enough. Go is interim national president of the Chinese Canadian National Council for Social Justice in Toronto. Borja is an assistant professor at the University of Michigan and affiliate researcher with Stop Asian American and Pacific Islander Hate.
