At the start of the pandemic grocery store workers were hailed as heroes on social media, sometimes given thanks in person, and occasionally even offered hazard pay. But now as the coronavirus crisis continues and people are antsy to return to normal, the gratitude and extra money for those on the front lines has mostly dried up.
