b"On today's show:\\xa0 Attorneys for Dr. Christine Blasey Ford have filed four new sworn declarations with the U.S. Senate Judiciary Committee, under penalty of perjury, on behalf of witnesses who say they were told years ago by Ford about her allegation of an attempted rape by U.S. Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. But those were not the most startling declarations filed on Wednesday: Julie Swetnick, a long time federal agency employee with federal security clearances, filed a separate affidavit, also under penalty of perjury, detailing her own experiences with Kavanaugh and his close friend Mark Judge, describing "house parties" at which the pair were present and actively participating in heavy drinking and sexual assault. Most disturbingly, she describes her "firm recollection" of seeing both men lining up to participate in "gang rapes" of incapacitated girls, and says that she became one of them in 1982. Yet the President of the United States refuses to call for an FBI investigation into any of the charges. Senate Republicans on the Judiciary Committee intend to move forward with Thursday's hearing with testimony only from Kavanaugh and Ford, then a committee vote on his nomination on Friday, and a floor vote possibly as early as Saturday, in time for the Supreme Court's new term beginning on Monday.\\xa0 Then:\\xa0 a new poll finds young voters expressing increasing anxiety about the November midterm election.
