b"Encore: original air-date 9-6-2023. On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0 A federal judge ruled that Donald Trump is liable for comments he made in the second E. Jean Carroll defamation trial. Nonprofit Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington (CREW) filed a lawsuit challenging Trump's eligibility for the ballot in Colorado under the 14th Amendment Insurrection Clause of the U.S. Constitution. In the Fulton County, Georgia RICO case against Trump and 18 co-conspirators over their plot to steal the 2020 election, the judge rejected an attempt by two former Trump attorneys, Ken Chesebro and Sidney Powell, to sever their cases from the others, and set a trial date to begin on October 23. A critical section of the RICO case revolves around the Coffee County Breach, in which Republican election officials allowed MAGA operatives to unlawfully breach, copy and distribute Georgia's state voting system software. The breach is only known publicly due to our guest today, MARILYN MARKS of the non-profit Coalition for Good Governance. Marks explains the critical phone call she received from one of the co-conspirators effectively confessing to the entire Coffee County plot, the ongoing failure of Georgia's top state election officials to investigate, set new security procedures, or install security updates, and warns that because the state's voting system software has been posted to the internet, the 'breach continues.'"
