Hurricane Isaias is bringing death and destruction to states along the U.S. Eastern seaboard after hitting North Carolina as a powerful Category 1 storm, with tornadoes, torrential rains, floods, and power outages for millions. Trump moves to make his monstrous, immoral, failed response to the coronavirus pandemic even worse, by slashing federal funding for National Guard's support services in every state -- where the Guard has been operating testing sites, distributing food and medical supplies, and more -- forcing cash-strapped states to make up the difference. But not in Texas and Florida, key to Trump's reelection hopes \\u2013 those states will still receive full federal funding for troop support through the end of the year. In a gobsmacking interview with Jonathan Swan of 'Axios on HBO', Trump reveals callous indifference and embarrassing, grade school-like excuses regarding the harrowing rise in COVID-19 deaths nationally. The virus is now moving into more rural and less medically well-equipped regions, underscoring how consolidation and monopolization of hospital networks over the past decade has resulted in the closure of 'unprofitable' rural hospitals, leaving states in desperate need of assistance. Some hope and (maybe) change:\\xa0 incumbent Sen. Martha McSally (R-AZ) remains on track to be the first Republican to lose not one but two U.S. Senate seats to Democrats in Arizona. But according to new polling, Sen. Mitch McConnell in Kentucky and Tommy Tuberville in Alabama both have double-digit leads against their Democratic opponents. Incumbent Sen.
