b"On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0 We begin with noteworthy, curated preliminary results from Tuesday's primary elections in six states:\\xa0 Arizona, Kansas, Michigan, Missouri, Washington and Ohio. The biggest news from Tuesday's primaries was in Kansas, where voters delivered a stunning, landslide rejection of a state constitutional amendment that would have allowed the state's Republican-controlled legislature to completely ban abortion. It was the first statewide vote since the extreme rightwing, radical Republican U.S. Supreme Court majority overturned 'Roe v. Wade', dismantling fifty years of Constitutionally-protected rights and freedoms. A broad spectrum of voters turned out in historic numbers to defeat the measure. Josh Marshall of Talking Points Memo says the results in Kansas support the idea of Democrats making a specific promise:\\xa0 if voters give Democrats two more U.S. Senators in November and hold the U.S. House, they will reform the filibuster and codify the protections of Roe into federal law, guaranteeing privacy rights and reproductive freedom in all 50 states. Will Democrats have the courage and confidence to run on abortion rights and give voters something affirmative to vote for?\\xa0 In Arizona, Trump-backed 2020 election deniers won all of the Republican nominations for top state offices.
