b"The latest the darkest week of the Trump Presidency that gets darker by the day:\\xa0 the Chief Financial Officer of the Trump Organization has reportedly been granted immunity to cooperate with federal prosecutors in their ongoing probe(s) of all manner of criminality by Donald J. Trump and his 2016 campaign. Hurricane Lane is wreaking havoc as it sweeps slowly near Hawaii. Senator John McCain's family announced on Friday he is no longer taking medical treatment for his terminal brain cancer. McCain's illness also has implications for Trump's Supreme Court nominee in advance of Arizona's midterm primaries. The wildly close OH-12 special election three weeks ago was reportedly won by Republican Troy Balderson over Democrat Danny O'Connor by a razor-thin 1,680 votes on 100% unverifiable touchscreen systems; the two will face off again for in November's general election. In Georgia, the Randolph County Board of Elections has rejected a proposal to close 7 of 9 precincts in the majority African-American county in advance of the November midterms, which drew national attention because it was based on the questionable pretext that the precincts were not compliant with the Americans with Disabilities Act. Then, as the nation is justifiably distracted by the quickly spiraling Trump presidency, his policies continue to move forward nonetheless, including this week's major new proposal to "repeal and replace" Obama's landmark "Clean Power Plan\\u201d that would have reduced deadly pollution and greenhouse gas emissions from coal-fired power plants. The Trump EPA admits its proposed "Affordable Clean Energy Rule\\u201d would cause at least 1,400 more premature American deaths annually over Obama's plan, result in tens of thousands of respiratory illness each year, and increase carbon emissions. Conrad Schneider, attorney and Advocacy Director at the non-profit Clean Air Task Force, explains the dangers and coal-industry corruption of what he calls the EPA's "Dirty Power Plan," the impacts it will have on public health and climate change, and how the Trump Administration's attempts to reverse Obama's environmental protections are increasingly being blocked, overturned, or delayed in federal courts."
