As COVID hospitalizations and deaths continue to soar, more tragic stories are emerging of misinformed anti-vaccine proponents changing their minds at the last minute, too late to save their own lives. More rightwing radio hosts who demonized masks and vaccines, spreading disinformation and conspiracy theories over the public airwaves, are also being silenced by COVID. A seemingly disturbed far-right Trumper from North Carolina is in custody after an hours-long standoff with police, during which he threatened to detonate a bomb outside the Library of Congress. Reporters reviewing his Facebook livestream and other videos said the man railed against President Biden, Democrats, 'antifa' and more, spouting conspiracy theories about the 2020 election and claiming Trump would be reinstated. In Colorado, the FBI has joined a criminal investigation into Mesa County Clerk Tina Peters, who allegedly entered a secure area of the County's Election Division in the middle of the night, turned off the security cameras, and allowed two hard drives containing Dominion Voting's Election Management System (EMS) software to be copied in full - - extremely sensitive data that someone then released to the open internet at MyPillow CEO Mike Lindell's failed three-day 'Cyber Symposium'.
