In Alabama, the Republican state legislature is openly defying a US Supreme Court ruling ordering them to add a second Black majority U.S. House district under the Voting Rights Act. Yet Alabama Republicans raced to execute a prisoner after the US Supreme Court didn't intervene. Alabama's former Gov.
