Voters waited in hours-long lines as new computerized electronic poll-books failed, new computerized touchscreen Ballot Marking Devices (BMDs) failed, and new optical-scan computers to scan the unverifiable ballots printed out by the $4,000 BMDs failed. What didn't fail was Raffensperger's propensity to blame poll workers, who risked their lives to help voters during a deadly pandemic, for his own failure to implement a simple, verifiable and much less expensive hand-marked paper ballot system. Also today: Coronavirus infection rates are spiking in many states despite the White House, Wall Street and Republicans pretending the nightmare is over. It isn't.
