Former Special Counsel Robert Mueller has agreed to appear for testimony in open session to both the House Judiciary and Oversight Committees on July 17th. The House Oversight Committee voted to subpoena Trump's senior adviser Kellyanne Conway for her multiple violations of the federal Hatch Act, which bars public officials from using their office for partisan campaign purposes. NRA-TV has shut down amid scandal and criminal probes of the terrorist-supporting NRA -- we send them our thoughts and prayers.\\xa0 Slate legal reporter Mark Joseph Stern explains the far-reaching implications of several US Supreme Court rulings handed down this week. The new rulings offer some huge, screaming red sirens about the direction that the Republicans' stolen U.S. Supreme Court now intends to go with their far-right majority. A number of cases offered some pretty clear projections that this Court intends to overturn decades, if not centuries, of legal precedent, case law, and even thousands of federal laws in the bargain \\u2013 from laws protecting the separation of church and state and blocking racism in the courtroom, to decisions overturning decades of trademark law, decades (and perhaps centuries) of property rights case law, and a ruling that came stunningly close to striking down hundreds of federal laws passed by Congress. But the biggest expected rulings -- on whether a citizenship question may be added to the 2020 Census and partisan gerrymandering -- are still to come.
