b"The brutal fallout and worldwide condemnation continues in response to President Donald Trump's decision to pull the US out of the historic Paris Climate Agreement, as the Administration tries -- and lies -- to explain the seemingly senseless move while avoiding the question of whether Trump still believes that climate change is a 'hoax', as he's previously asserted. As that story has unfolded this week, the Administration was finally forced to release the waivers they say were granted to dozens of Administration and federal agency officials, allowing them to avoid ethics guidelines issued earlier this year when Trump was still pretending to 'drain the swamp'. Craig Holman, long time Governmental Affairs lobbyist at Public Citizen, joins us to explain why Trump's approach to ethics rules cannot be compared to previous Administrations, why he believes the newly published (and undated) waivers were never actually written until just before their forced release, and why -- although Presidential ethics guidelines are supposed to have the power of law -- it may be very difficult with this Administration to see that 'rule of law' enforced in any way.
