b"Once again, a computer 'glitch' saves the day for Republicans.\\xa0 In Tuesday's U.S. House special election in Georgia's 6th Congressional District, Democratic candidate Jon Ossoff soundly defeated a split Republican field in a very Republican district. However, the final results taken from the state's 100 percent unverifiable Diebold touch-screen voting systems report that he failed to go over the 50 percent threshold, by which he would have won the seat outright. Instead, he'll compete in a run-off in June against the second-place finisher on Tuesday, Republican Karen Handel, former GA Sec. of State. So, were the results accurate? Hard to know, particularly given a reported central tabulator 'error' said to have been caused by a faulty memory card from one of the voting machines. That error stopped all returns from being reported for several hours in Fulton County, with Ossoff hanging at 50.3 percent, and all counties but Fulton (Handel's home county) having reported 100 percent of their results. After the computer problem was said to have been solved, and results started coming in again from Fulton, Ossoff's numbers dropped to below the threshold that would have prevented a run-off. Was the election stolen? Was it just a routine error on the state's easily-manipulated, oft-failed voting system? We discuss, and callers ring in.\\xa0 Also today: Bill O'Reilly is finally fired by Fox 'News' after the latest round of multiple sexual harassment allegations against him, millions of dollars in settlements paid to his accusers and dozens of advertisers who had pulled out of the show.
