Incredibly enough, staggering amounts of fresh food are being destroyed by farmers and other food producers, even as food banks are struggling to keep up with demand from needy families. Why? More horrific economic numbers were released on Wednesday regarding retail sales, showing that yes, consumers are the backbone of the economy and are the job creators, not the parasitic corporations and executives who pretend to be.\\xa0 Good news for voting rights in Virginia, where the state's Democratic governor has signed a series of important election reforms to expand the right to vote \\u2013 reforms that passed due in no small part to the court-ordered un-gerrymandering of Virginia last year. Plus, the Republican National Committee has declared that absentee voting is "easy, convenient and secure" according to mailers the RNC paid for and sent out to Republican voters in Pennsylvania. So, apparently, we can ignore the President and all other high-profile Republicans who falsely claim that Vote-by-Mail is a vector for fraud. Their own party has just made liars of them -- although that's not particularly difficult to do these days..."
