Bernie Sanders appears to have won in a landslide, followed by runners-up former VP Joe Biden coming in second, Pete Buttigieg in third. The Buttigieg campaign is challenging the reported results. In South Carolina state polling, Biden's once seemingly-insurmountable lead in pre-election polling appears to be slipping, while national polls indicate Sen. Elizabeth Warren surging into second place after Sanders. With Sanders currently the front-runner, having won the popular vote in each of the first three primary/caucus states, members of the "Democratic Establishment" and their media supporters appear to be freaking out a bit. But as the media turns to the horse race in South Carolina, we turn to the track conditions:\\xa0 voters across the entire state will be forced to vote, for the first time ever, on brand-new, 100% unverifiable touchscreen Ballot Marking Devices (BMDs), in spite of cybersecurity experts' warnings against such systems. After the polls close, it is 100% impossible to know if any ballot cast on these expensive new devices actually reflects the intent of any voter -- even if the new systems work as designed.
