b"On today's show: The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) has voted to close down its last remaining coal-fired power plant to save millions in costs, in defiance of pressure from Donald Trump and one of his top campaign donors, coal baron Robert Murray of Murray Energy, who owns the mine that supplies the plant. In 2016, Hillary Clinton tried to help Coal Country prepare for the inevitable decline of the US coal industry with a planned $30 billion \\u201cjust transition\\u201d fund. But Clinton's policies and her words were opportunistically taken out of context by Fox 'News' and the corporate media, Republicans and Trump, and now those miners will be out of work without the assistance that Clinton had tried to offer them. Also today:\\xa0 U.S. Senate confirms controversial William Barr for U.S. Attorney General, who will oversee the Robert Mueller Special Counsel probe. Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell said Trump will sign a compromise bill to fund the government, which includes just $1.4 billion for Trump's border wall (less than the deal offered last December that he rejected) and then declare a "National Emergency" to steal tax-payer funds from elsewhere to fund his border wall. Progressive freshman Congresswomen have vowed to vote against the bill. DHS is diverting resources away from cybersecurity teams tasked with protecting the 2020 election. Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) grills disgraced Republican operative Elliot Abrams on the Trump Administration's intervention in Venezuela. Rep.
