b"On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0\\xa0 The U.S. Postal Service, under the corrupt direction of Donald Trump's Postmaster General Louis DeJoy, is about to spend $11 billion on 165,000 new delivery trucks. Only 10 percent will be electric vehicles, and 90 percent will be gas-guzzlers that will contribute to air pollution and our worsening climate crisis for decades. The newly-designed gas-powered trucks also just happen to be one pound too heavy to fall under EPA fuel efficiency standards. ADRIAN MARTINEZ, Senior Attorney for Earth Justice, details the absurdly flawed environmental economic and environmental analysis that the Postal Service used to justify its rejection of all-electric vehicles for its new delivery trucks, the Postal Service PR team's greenwashing, the 'brazen' responses from the USPS under DeJoy's command, and potential litigation to prevent the plan from going into effect. Martinez also explains why the hell DeJoy is still in his job at all, and actions that the public can take to help join efforts across the country to pressure the USPS Board of Governors to halt the gas-guzzler plan. Also today:\\xa0 A new, partially redacted letter from Senators Ron Wyden (D-OR) and Martin Heinrich (D-NM) suggests the existence of a very troubling CIA 'secret bulk collection' program sweeping up Americans' data, that has been 'kept from the public and from Congress' and is operating outside of judicial, congressional or even executive branch oversight. Plus: An encouraging development in space exploration."
