b"Original airdate 11-27-2023. On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0 A three-judge panel on the 8th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeal issued a mind-blowing decision last week gutting what remains of the landmark Voting Rights Act of 1965. The court upheld a lower court ruling declaring, for the first time in U.S. history, that individual voters and private organizations like the NAACP and ACLU have no 'right to private action' to sue against violations of Section 2 of the landmark Voting Rights Act, despite decades of rulings on that basis. JONATHAN TOPAZ of the ACLU's Voting Rights Project explains their original lawsuit challenging Arkansas' racially-discriminatory voting maps, the 'radical' ruling and what it means for voting rights in Arkansas and the nation, and next steps. Also today: Israel and Hamas agreed to extend their four-day pause in hostilities to allow for the release of more hostages from Gaza. A white male suspect was arrested in the shooting of three college students of Palestinian descent in Vermont. Listeners weigh in."
