b"On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0 President Biden met with Russia's Vladimir Putin to discuss the troubling build-up of Russian forces near the Ukrainian border and implications that Russia may be planning a full-scale invasion. China is upset over Biden's 'diplomatic boycott' of the upcoming Winter Olympics in Beijing. Mark Meadows, Donald Trump's former Chief of Staff, could be indicted on criminal contempt charges after reversing his cooperation with the U.S. House Select Committee investigating the January 6th attack on the Capitol. The Justice Department filed suit to block Texas' new legislative maps under the Voting Rights Act, alleging the maps are racially discriminatory. Republicans' extreme gerrymandered maps and new voter suppression laws are laying the groundwork for the GOP to win a majority of the House in 2022 with a minority of votes, and they are putting components in place to re-run their 2020 election subversion playbook using the poorly-written Electoral Count Act (ECA) to make it easier to steal the Presidential election in 2024. Longtime Republican election law attorney Ben Ginsberg, who helped steal the 2000 election for George W. Bush but rejected Trump's attempts to steal the 2020 election, is pressuring his own party to reform the ECA, warning that the loopholes exploited by Team Trump in 2020 can also be used against the Republicans in the future. Election law scholar and democracy advocate PAUL LEHTO analyzes recommendations for ECA reform, other loopholes and avenues to election subversion that are desperately in need of reform, and what actions can be taken to protect democracy.
