Alvin Bragg's latest actions suggest he is re-focusing on new criminal charges against Trump himself over allegations of bank, tax, and insurance fraud. Donald Trump now falsely claims that he didn't say what everyone saw him say when he called for 'termination' of the Constitution over the weekend. Elected Republicans refuse to say whether Trump's comments should disqualify him from becoming president again. The Chair of the bipartisan U.S. House January 6 Committee, which is investigating the January 6 insurrection and Trump's many failed attempts to steal the 2020 election, said the committee will make criminal referrals to the U.S. Dept. of Justice before the end of the year. Newly-appointed Special Counsel Jack Smith, who is overseeing the Justice Department's criminal probes into the January 6 insurrection and Trump's theft of classified government documents, has issued his first subpoenas to officials in Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona and Pennsylvania seeking any and all communications with and about Trump, his campaign, and more.
