b"With just over a 10,000 vote margin between Donald Trump and Hillary Clinton in Michigan, problems with optical-scan computers on Election Day may result in the paper ballots at hundreds of precincts (many in heavily Democratic-leaning Detroit) from being included in the 'recount' currently underway in the state. We cover that and more of the latest developments in Green Party candidate Jill Stein's unprecedented multi-state 'recount' efforts in Michigan, as well as Pennsylvania and Wisconsin, as Team Trump files appeals both state and federal court to stop the ongoing counts. Also: it's not just Republicans who prefer unverified computer tallies over human-verified hand counts. In Vermont, the will of the voters may never be known in two exceedingly close state legislative races, thanks to a 2014 state law requiring that computers, not people, tally votes during a 'recount'. That may be good news to the Washington Post, which published an op-ed yesterday explaining why they believe 'computers are better than humans at counting ballots.' Of course, to know that for certain, they suggest...um...counting the ballots by hand.
