b"On today's show: In observance of the national day of mourning for the late President George H.W. Bush, the stock market was closed \\u2013 likely a good thing after the Dow Jones Industrial Average plunged after investors realized that Donald Trump lied over the weekend that he had reached a deal with China over his trade tariffs. In Georgia, the Republican candidate won the crucial runoff race for Secretary of State. The Atlanta Journal Constitution has finally noticed extreme irregularities in the Lt. Governor's race that only appear in the unverifiable touchscreen results, not on vote-by-mail paper absentee ballots. In Little Rock, Arkansas, sixty years after angry mobs protested school integration, voters have elected their first elected African-American mayor. In North Carolina's 9th District, yet more disturbing details are emerging in the intensifying GOP election fraud scandal. New House Democratic Caucus chair Hakeem Jeffries (D-NY) suggests that "Republican operatives stole\\u201d the race, and both he and the editorial board of The Charlotte Observer, the state's largest newspaper, have called for a new election. In North Carolina, Republicans in the state legislature are jamming through new polling place Photo ID voting restrictions before losing their super-majority, under false claims it will deter non-existent "voter fraud" but which will do nothing to deter what appears to be major absentee ballot fraud in the state. In Wisconsin, the Republican-gerrymandered and controlled state legislature worked literally all night to jam through a bill aimed at stealing power from incoming Democratic Governor Tony Evers, incoming Democratic Attorney General Josh Kaul, and the state's voters. Republicans in Wisconsin, Michigan, and North Carolina and elsewhere in the country are resorting to desperate power grabs to hold on to power, and it's beginning to feel more and more each day like the GOP is a party in its death throes."
