b"On today's 'BradCast':\\xa0 The bipartisan House Select Committee on the January 6th attack on the U.S. Capitol has recommended criminal contempt charges for former Trump Chief of Staff Mark Meadows. A treasure trove of text messages released by the committee serve as more 'evidence' of Trump's 'supreme dereliction of duty', and reveal members of Congress, Fox 'News' personalities, and Trump's own son trying to convince Trump to call off the insurrectionists he had incited in his effort to steal the 2020 election. The texts prove those rightwing personalities lied in later claiming that 'antifa' was responsible for the deadly assault. A second House Select Committee investigating the federal government's pandemic response may soon refer former Trump official Peter Navarro for separate criminal contempt charges. Good government group Free Speech For People, in its ongoing dogged pursuit of accountability for Trump's multiple campaign finance violations in the 2016 campaign, is now suing the Federal Election Commission (FEC) for failing to act on a complaint alleging unlawful 'coordination' between the Trump Campaign and the Russian Federation. RON FEIN, Legal Director of FSFP, explains the long road to accountability in their new lawsuit, why it remains necessary, and what actions can be taken to reform the long-dysfunctional commission that Republicans have deadlocked, allowing wrongdoing to go unpunished. Fein also addresses the failure of US Attorney General Merrick Garland to take action against the endless criminal allegations against Trump and his minions. Also today: a Trump-appointed federal judge rejected Trump's bid to block House investigators from obtaining his tax information.\\xa0 Plus Desi Doyen has our latest 'Green News Report.'"
