Control of Congress remains undecided with a handful of very close races still too close to call, and Republicans could still win slim majorities in both chambers. The U.S. Senate race in Georgia will be decided in a runoff election in December, while Democrats still have a long-shot chance at holding the House majority. We cover a ton of critical victories and losses, including both inspiring surprise wins and several disappointments, in dozens of states at both the state and federal level. But the pollsters and corporate media pundits were wildly off-base with their 'conventional wisdom' narrative insisting that it was an all-but-foregone conclusion that Democrats would lose big and Republicans would see sweeping gains in state and federal races across the country. We warned for months that these are decidedly UN-conventional times and election outcomes were far from clear - - so how did the corporate media get it so wrong? A large number of extreme far-right 2020 election deniers endorsed by Donald Trump also lost, further dragging down Republicans' fortunes. Young voters turned out in record high numbers, holding the line. So for the moment, American democracy, while still on life support, has lived to see another day. But it ain't over yet..."
